About Us
How we came to be
How did the idea for a tag-based proximity warning system come about? It was after one of our founding members and Technical Director, Nigel, visited Intermat Paris.
During his visit in 2010 he saw a collaboration between a French university and German company using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) for detection of people on conveyor belts. As a typical engineer’s mind ticks over, Nigel could see this concept working for the safety of people around plant in construction.
And as they say the rest is history!
From the early days when there was only Nigel and Gary in the business to a pivot during Covid to develop a personnel distancing system that was used at the NHS Nightingale Hospital to where we are today, the business has grown on simplicity and team work.
But that’s not just our opinion. Customers tell us they love that SiteZone ‘does what it says on the tin’ and ‘the company is so professional in everything you do, and the engineering team are second to none.’
This is reflected in our company values and our purpose to not just reduce plant to pedestrian collisions but eliminate them.

Where are we now?

"We first started working with SiteZone in 2012. We were looking for an additional layer of protection for our plant to help with blind spots and managing the risk of collisions between people and moving plant. After meeting with Gary, SiteZone founder and Managing Director, at a show and seeing what SiteZone could do, we moved to a full trial at our Bletchley site."
